Bitchy Judgement Day

A few nights ago while on Facebook, a guy I thought to be a nice person was giving a post by post description of his thoughts. He usually does this for award shows and such and can be quite comical. Last night was different. He was quite bitchy in his approach of describing different actors. What they were wearing, how they looked, the hairstyle...blah, blah, blah. He said that "Penelope Cruz is so unattractive and speaks like a deaf indian lady...dot not feather...sorry deaf indian ladies." So, tell me, is this not only in bad taste but also laced with a little racial negativity? First of all, I love Penelope Cruz but most importantly, I think he was being bitchy and racist rolled into one. So, I asked him in the public forum "what was wrong with Penelope" and his reply along with more than several of his cronies disgusted me with the negativity and hate! Being the gentleman that I am, I privately messaged him a HOT picture of Penelope and told him how disappointed I was with him. What do you think happened? HE BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE STAGE!! I couldn't believe it when I saw his next post. Basically, he sent out a not so sincere apology directly to me (which riled up his cronies) and stating....I stand by my words and this is America where we can have our own opinions and we have to respect everyone's opinion......NOT COOL! We are lucky to have such a freedom, yes, but so many individuals misunderstand that it is a PRIVILEGE to speak one's opinions and a wise person chooses when and how, if ever, to express those opinions. I myself have learned it is a good thing to lock up the mouth sometimes and listen to others :) I was so angry that I was up hours after I should have gone to bed thinking about all the people I knew like him. Ugh...why do I waste my time!

Help me out here, please! Why does it appear to me that the majority of gay men I have met feel it is their duty to dispense bitchiness in the form of degrading, demeaning, belittling, discrediting, tarnishing, disapproving, and devaluing other human beings and other minorities for the pure enjoyment of the "fun" of it? Has anyone ever told these people that this behavior doesn't match their pretty faces? They need to work on the inside as well. I am not saying that I have never tried the role of bitchy on for size and I can actually protrude quite the serpents tongue when needed. I choose rather to be kind and have found that it benefits everyone :) I know a lot of gay men are insecure with themselves. I wish they would just deal with it and stop being so bitchy. Those good looks they try so hard to preserve on the outside will shrivel up like a sour prune before they know it!

well, it is certainly on account of my look, but i do have a bitchy streak, but i usually don't consider everyone fair game. and i'm even willing on certain occasions to blame it on the person having a bad day/bad judgement...
so, a bitch with a soft spot???
:D~

personally,
i had closed my facebook account, only to reopen it a few days later to get something that was available only there. i now keep my account for research purpose, and to keep in touch with those people i love, in real life...
period!!

it's a pity you got all worked up over this, as this is the kind of thing that amuses such people. stay clear from those people and choose wisely who you interact with.
so, as far as you're concerned, did you like the academy awards?
:D~

LOL Ticklebear....I can see that you are a direct kind of guy by looking at your blog and reading your comments on Wilmy's blog, but a bitch? If you say you are one with a soft spot, lol...this may be true, I don't know.

Thanks for the advice about Facebook. Unfortunately, just about everyone I have as a friend IS someone I interact with personally. This is why it upset me that "the accused" :) was acting the way he did. It seems that life is a constant addition and editing of contacts. Again, unfortunately, this falls into the edit category.

Did I like the Academy Awards? Well, the funny thing is....lol...I don't even watch television!!!!

Take Care :)

as for wil's blog, i'm only a guest there, so i mind my manners. on my blogs, that's another thing altogether. i can be more vitriolic on "cromagnon" or "queer", depending of the issues. i sometimes vent on "ticklebear". but i'm always the same guy: quiet, even shy, funny at times, until you step on my toes. then, the gloves come off and it's all claws and fangs!!!
i like bitching about religious figures of all kind, but will respect people's need for religion; politicians, but i'll respect people's position even if i can't understand why... and pedophiles, whom i'd chop into little pieces, but we don't do that kind of things here in canada...
pity!!
i'm just saying.

of course, i like gossip and fashion, both fertile grounds for faux-pas, therefore, bitching...
but without demeaning the character of the person.

you don't watch tv but you care to participate in a debate about a televised event???...

odd, to say the least.
:D~
if it bears no interest, why waste your time on such debates? and getting insulted at the same time... that's beyond me. are you a masochist??? are you????
:D~

man, if these people are real life connection as well, you're in deep shit.
time to change your entourage.

@ Angelo: It's Wilmy, bitch! ROFL

Poor suckers, they have no idea you're just holding yourself back. I, for one, had a glimpse of the "It's Micky, bitch" attitude. ;) You're a nice guy, though, so it's all right.

By the way, your post about your trip to Romania disappeared; I saw it a few days ago and meant to comment but my Internet was plain dead!

Did you delete it? If so, I just wanted to let you know that you two look cute together. :) That's all, my briend! Gros calîn!

@ Ticklebear: What do you mean "I'm only a guest on wil's blog"? You're like family now, and have the right to sweep the floor with anyone on that blog of mine. Ya heard? :p

Smooch

@ Ticklebear: I can't imagine what you'd do on my blog if you ever let go of your manners, mon titi ?!? Toi qui es si inoffensif. :D

@ wil:
innofensive????
really?!?...
let me think about that.

First things first.....LOL..okay guys, you're eating up too many bytes on my comment page!! Of course I am just kidding, I love watching the banter unfold ;)

@ Ticklebear...I was not bantering about the televised program but rather the choice of words this particular individual used to describe his thoughtless feelings about the people in the event. Yes, unfortunately I allowed myself to get caught up in something I care nothing about. As far as my "entourage" goes :) he is not part of the regular group. That is limited to about 5 guys. Thanks for the advice though Ticklebear...it is always appreciated :)

@ Wilmy....my Romania trip post did get deleted "accidently" because I tried to delete the pic you found to be so cute and....the rest is history :( Thanks for thinking kindly of the picture, it is my favorite from the holiday pics I took.

@ angelo:
well, as long as you can keep distance from toxic people, that's good. some like to spill their venom, thinking they're OH-SO smart...

@ Ticklebear: Which one is your good side, Streisand? ;)
